Guest Judge, Choral Director & Baritone


Chris attended music at Trinity College of Music, graduating with a first class honours in Music Performance and went on to study for a MMus in performance at the Royal College of Music, specialising in 17th and 18th Century repertoire.

Christopher has sung professionally in the Royal Opera House, Royal Albert Hall and has performed as a bass-baritone soloist in works such as Bach’s St. John Passion, Christmas Oratorio, B Minor Mass and Magnificat, Handel’s Messiah, Acis and Galatea, Duruflé and Fauré Requiems and Purcell’s King Arthur and Fairy Queen.

He is a celebrated conductor and a committed educator and is curently Assistant Director of Music and Head of Preparatory Schools’ Music at Surbiton High School where he conducts 16 choirs a week!

He is regularly in demand as a chorus director, adjudicator and examiner and has worked at Morley College, Royal College of Music (Junior), Trinity Laban, North London Children’s Choir and the Dartington International Summer School.
